The popular Concept Pro day/night high-speed dome camera supplied by Videcon has been installed at The Junction, St Andrew’s Quay Retail Park, Hull.

A total of 5-day/night high-speed dome cameras have been installed around Phase Three of the 327,000sq ft St Andrew’s Quay Retail Park. £45 million has been spent on this phase of the development, which is adjacent to the existing 190,000 sq ft retail park that opened its doors to the public in April 2003.

The retail park has a core population catchment area of 207,754 and CCTV measures have been introduced to improve overall security and reduce risk. John Moore Security Ltd, who has over 18 years experience in the security industry, installed the cameras. Lee Holgate, Regional Operations Manager at John Moore Security, was responsible for the specification and installation of the Concept Pro domes. “ The VHSD-860EXT is a high-performance unit which is extremely easy to install and set up. All domes were supplied pre-built and tested, and required just a few simple cable connections to complete the install”.

The dome cameras supplied utilise the latest Sony ex-view CCD and feature an optical zoom of up to 18x. The VHSD-860EXT is particularly effective in environments such as retail outlets and car parks, where greater viewing angles are essential.
